Nextdoor Kingpin (Riding Around Part 1) & Dead Man's Errand (Riding Around Part 2)

So, I've been tossing around ideas for some modern-day penny novella type things, and I decided to start the "Riding Around" series, a trilogy of stories, starting with "Next Door Kingpin", continuing with "Dead Man's Errand", and completing with "Backseat Hitman".

Basically, the stories are based on my own experiences, but as my view may be skewed or some details may be fuzzy after a few years, I've gone with the historical fiction and fictional crime categories.  Technically, it's more of a "growing into yourself" type of story, but the antagonist is the focal point, and that's where I chose to direct the reader's attention.
